Download Aelyna Keys only from aelynakeys.com. Be wary of copies on other websites or sent by email.
On Windows check that the publisher is verified: if it says "Unknown publisher", do not install.
Compare the SHA-256 fingerprint of the downloaded file with the one shown here.
After installation, updates come from the app itself, signed and verified.

The result must be identical to the SHA-256 fingerprint shown next to the package.

Windows, in PowerShell:

Get-FileHash .\AelynaKeys_0.0.0_x64-setup.exe -Algorithm SHA256

macOS, in Terminal:

shasum -a 256 AelynaKeys_0.0.0_universal.dmg

On first launch you create the vault and get the Emergency Kit: print it and keep it away from the computer.
